This is going to be a place where Lia and I can upload and post pictures and videos of things going on in our life and all the exciting new moments that come from being parents and having a little one in our lives here in the cabin.

We hope this page will be a place where family and friends can come to spend with our family even if they are across the country or globe. We encourage everyone to come to this place for enjoyment and love and not judgment or anxiety. Pick up the phone or email us if you guys have something you wanna ask or talk about. We think this WordPress ‘blog’ is a better idea than an Instagram account or sporadic emails. We would like to keep our baby’s name and identity off of social media sites or other websites like Instagram, or Facebook or Google or Amazon.

The Pregnancy and Baby Prep

Although we were cautious and hesitant to share our excitement (and anxiety), and although we were maybe slow and deliberate in the timing of telling the grandparents of our great news, I must say, that thanks to Lia’s unbelievably calm demeanor and reassuring confidence we have had a very stress-free pregnancy. Of course, that was very much a priority for us. Probably for many people that would have meant a hundred more doctors, professionals and continuous testing. But for Lia, it seemed obvious and best to achieve a stress-free pregnancy by doing it her way; and I think now that we are in the ‘home stretch’, I can easily see we made the right choice. The memory of this pregnancy will be so much more pleasant and ultimately, I believe, a healthy, happy relationship between mother and child can start early when not having to drag Lia to doctor appointments and have her poked and prodded by medical technicians just back from their smoke break.

Just to clarify for any one: We are not anti-doctors or science or anti-modern medicine people. We are kinda hippies, but not weird anti-medicine, anti-vaccine people. And certainly not going to deny medical assistance if needed. fyi
